Steve (Owner)
Steve Robinson began working at Adept Products as a welder in 2001 until he bought the business from Ben Schellhaas in 2015. He and his wife, Angela, have been married for 28 years and have four children. Steve also has three grandchildren. He enjoys new challenges and working with customers to help them bring their ideas and designs to fruition. Steve likes working with his hands to build and create a wide variety of items for his clients. Hunting, fishing, and camping are all pastimes he enjoys in his free time. He enjoys old cars, car shows, and the Demolition Derby.
Angela
Angela Robinson has been in business management since 2009 and began working at Adept Products in 2014. She has helped her husband, Steve, with the business after they purchased it in 2015. Together they have four children, three grandchildren, a cat named Cali, and a Saint Bernard named Brutus. Angela loves hosting gatherings at her home where she can cook for the family and be spend time with her loved ones. Her favorite pastimes include camping, quilting, crocheting, cooking, and reading. Angela enjoys welcoming customers and becoming acquainted with them individually.
Ben
Ben Schellhaas began the business in the 1970s which became incorporated in 1988. Ben has been working in the field for over 50 years. He was married to his late wife, Sandi, for 60 years with whom he raised two daughters. He has four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He enjoys repairing machinery, working with his hands, and using his knowledge to problem solve. His hobbies include flying his plane, boating, and taking his antique truck to car shows. Ben also spends his time camping, traveling, and doing woodworking.
Blake
Blake Robinson began working part time as welder in 2018 until he finished his education at Tolles Technical Center in 2020. Upon graduation he began working as a full-time welder. He is also in the Army Reserves where he has been serving as an 88 Mic truck driver since 2019. Blake was born and raised in West Jefferson where he grew up with his parents, two older sisters, and an older brother. He has two nephews and a niece that have affectionately nicknamed him “Uncle Red” due to him being a redhead. His hobbies include building and running derby cars, racing, collecting antique weaponry, cheering for the Bengals and Ohio State University football teams. Blake enjoys having Fridays off, the winter season, and has a dog named Chloe.
Marsha
In September 2017, Adept Products, INC welcomed Marsha to the team. She learned welding in FFA and developed a passion for the field. Now, she is the key operator of the plasma and many other tasks. Her team appreciates her attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge. Marsha expressed that her co-workers are all like a family, making working here enjoyable. Marsha is married and has one son. She loves animals, reading, gardening, camping and hunting.
Jason
Jason began working for Adept Products, INC in May 2019, bringing over 20 years of welding experience. The variety of projects, the small family environment, and the hours are all key factors Jason enjoys about his job. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy taking their dog camping. Jason has always had a passion for fishing and hunting.
Jenny
Jenny joined Adept Products, INC in July 2021 as a welder. She had over 5 years of prior welding experience. Jenny enjoys Adept Products, INC’s flexibility in balancing work and home. She expressed that she loves the various projects she works on at Adept Products, INC. Jenny spends her spare time with her children painting, drawing, going to car shows, and participating in the Demolition Derbys at county fairs. She has 3 kids, 1 dog, 3 cats, 2 fish, and 2 hermit crabs.
Steve (machinist)
Steve is our newest machinist, who started in June 2023 after the company he worked at for 35 years closed. His attention to detail and passion for his job make him a valuable asset to our business. Steve likes having his Fridays free to spend time with his wife, two kids, and three grandkids. Steve’s favorite time of the year is Halloween because he enjoys passing out candy to the kids and seeing their reactions to all his decorations. Steve expressed that he enjoys the work environment at Adept Products, INC.
Bob
Bob was a welder for Adept Products, INC from 2012-2014 and returned to us in September 2023 because he likes the challenge of the projects he works on at Adept Products, INC. Bob enjoys fishing, playing pool, and hanging out with family and friends in his spare time. Bob has a twin brother and two other brothers and said while growing up, the boys were always getting into something. Bob has four grown children of his own.
